Pelangi Lake Resort Belitung

Pelangi Lake Resort is a spacious, family-oriented property on the road between Tanjung Kelayang and Tanjung Tinggi. Its two-storey wooden cottages sit on open lawns beside a lake, and a private stretch of beach is just across the road, about three minutes' walk.

Cottages are roomy and clean, with air conditioning and hot water. The grounds are big enough for paintball, basketball, futsal and a children's playground, making it popular with Indonesian families and groups. There is a Kong Djie coffee outlet on site, along with stalls serving pempek and fried banana. Reviewers mention occasional short power cuts and a fairly basic standard overall, but the setting and the price keep most guests happy.

It works as an affordable base for the north-west coast: the island-hopping jetty at Tanjung Kelayang and the granite boulders at Tanjung Tinggi are both a few minutes away by car or scooter, and the sea opposite is clear and clean.
