Moonlight Cafe Belitung

Moonlight Cafe is a casual café on Jalan Tanjung Tinggi in Kampung Baru, Keciput, between Tanjung Kelayang and Tanjung Tinggi beaches. It reopened recently and has quickly built a loyal following among visitors staying in the nearby resorts, with several reviewers returning more than once during a short trip.

Expect good strong coffee, iced teas and fruit smoothies such as avocado juice, plus a menu of local favourites and snacks: crispy sate taichan, tahu cabe garam (salt-and-chilli tofu), fried cassava with sambal lingkong, fried bananas with cheese, bihun and gado-gado. Prices are low, for example around Rp13,000 to Rp23,000 for snacks. The owners are accommodating with dietary needs, including vegetarian requests.

It opens from 13:00 to 22:00 and is closed on Wednesdays. Seating options include covered tables and a garden area strung with lights, which is pleasant after dark. It is a good place for an afternoon coffee after the beach or a light dinner close to the north-coast hotels.
