Kelayang Beach Hotel, listed by OYO as Capital O 399, is a fairly new budget hotel set on a quiet private beach in Keciput, close to Tanjung Kelayang. The beach runs along the coast past the neighbouring properties, and the hotel's swings on the sand are a favourite photo spot.
Rooms are clean and spacious, with air conditioning, hot water, TV, a kettle and fresh towels daily, though most rooms do not face the sea directly and in-room tea and coffee are not always supplied. Breakfast is simple, usually fried rice or noodles, bread and fruit. The hotel has its own seafood restaurant, rents out motorbikes for around Rp35,000 for eight hours and can arrange island hopping by local boat. Staff and manager are friendly, though English is limited.
Access is via a rough, recently built track from the main road; reviewers advise not to follow the old route on Google Maps from the roundabout. Once there, the setting is peaceful and the Tanjung Kelayang jetty is close. A good-value choice for travellers who want sea and sand on a tight budget. Book through OYO or online agents.
School holidays and long weekends bring crowds from Jakarta: book beach resorts and boats ahead then.
