D Tamping Kopi

D Tamping Kopi is a small café on Jalan Tanjung Kelayang in Tanjung Binga, the fishing village on the road between Tanjung Pandan and the north-west beaches. It is run single-handedly by its owner-barista, who takes orders, makes the drinks and serves every table himself, so the atmosphere is personal and unhurried.

Reviewers rate the coffee highly. The mochaccino stands out for its balance, with chocolate that complements the espresso rather than smothering it, and the classic coffee and local coffee options are equally well made. The space is clean and comfortable, with wooden tables and a view of the road, and it is a good place to pause and watch scooters pass.

It opens from 08:00 until midnight and closes on Tuesdays. Because one person handles everything, drinks can take a few minutes when it is busy. It makes a convenient stop on the drive to Tanjung Kelayang or on the way back to town, and it is close to the resorts around Tanjung Binga. Payment is cash only.
