Warkop Ayin

Warkop Ayin is a family-run coffee shop on Jalan Bioskop Surya, the Manggar street lined with warung kopi, close to the town's small guesthouses and inns. Many visitors rate it as one of the best coffee shops in town, mostly thanks to the welcoming owner and family.

The coffee is strong and good, and the milk tea is a standout, popular with adults and children alike. Unlike many warkop that only serve snacks, the owner cooks breakfast every morning with a varied spread of side dishes, and the mie goreng and kwetiau are recommended. Prices are cheap. The shop also sells Manggar souvenirs, notably fried breadfruit chips in several flavours, which are seasonal, so buy them when you see them.

It opens daily from 04:00 until midnight, making it one of the earliest places for a coffee in Manggar. Seating is simple, with tables on a covered terrace facing the street. It is cash only. Combine it with a visit to Warkop Millenium nearby to compare the town's coffee styles.
