Coffee Bar Gantung

Coffee Bar is a relaxed, newly opened coffee shop on Jalan Melati in Lenggang, the centre of Gantung. The timber-clad building has an open front, a covered seating area and a projector screen that comes into its own for football matches in the evening, when the place fills with locals.

The menu covers espresso-based coffees, iced coffees, teas and fruity drinks such as iced pandan and orange, along with snacks and simple meals at low prices. Reviewers describe the food as pretty good and the atmosphere as comfortable, and the Wi-Fi is reliable enough to work for a while. Smoking is common, so the outdoor tables may suit non-smokers better.

It opens daily from 09:00 until midnight, which makes it one of the few places in Gantung for a coffee late in the evening. It is a short walk from the town centre and a convenient place to rest after visiting the Laskar Pelangi replica school and Museum Kata Andrea Hirata. Parking is available outside.
